- Internet : The library has Cyber Space to provide free access to internet for students.
- CD-ROMS and Classic DVDs : The library has a separate section comprising around 2,800 CDs and more than 40 classic DVDs of award winning movies which support the IT courses and Mass Media students and teachers.
- Cartographic Sources : The library houses all kinds of maps and globes. The very collection supports the geography students to refer the maps along with the books.
- Department Library : The library acts as a Central Library of the college, supporting to establish Departmental Libraries with qualitative collection. The Department of Information Technology has a departmental library supported by our library. The department libraries for Department of Geography, Department Economics (MA), and Department of Commerce (M.Com.) are in progress.
- British Council Library’s Institutional Membership : The library has an Institutional membership of British Council Library, Mumbai. The students and teachers can borrow books from the library.
- Requisition Form : The library procures the books which are duly recommended by teachers and students through Requisition Form.
- Journals and Online Resources : The online journals are procured in order to meet the growing project works undertaken by the students and doctoral research degrees undertaken by our teachers. The library subscribes to more than 120 journals/magazines (in print) and 50 online journals to get ‘dynamic information’ on the various subjects. The library is planning to avail the UGC Infonet from the INFLIBNET.

Selective Dissemination Service (SDI):
The Librarianmaintains the database of information sources, new arrivals on the requestedtheme or source. The source is added in the particular profile of the teacherand then intimated them about the same via e-mail.
Accessto Full-text Online Journals:
The library subscribes more than 30 full-textonline journals on finance, business, trade, economics, management studies etc.The journals are accessed by our readers with the unique Login ID and Password.The readers can also access the same remotely.
LInC Portal:
The library staff has designed an in-house web portal through whichstudents and teachers can access to OPAC, College website, Staff ArticleRepository, Guidelines/rules of the Library, photo gallery and Useful Links onthe subjects taught in the college. This facility is given on the limitedcomputers in the library.
Access to Back Issues ofJournals:
The library has around 850 back issues of journals of selected journals onbanking, finance, management, economics, information technology and educationetc.
CurrentContents (Monthly):
The library brings out Current Contents (Monthly),a compilation of content pages of some selected journals. Two copies arecompiled and kept for reference in the library and teachers’ staff room.
ArticleRepository Service:
The library has created database where in thestaff articles (bibliographic and full text) are indexed.
Faculty Research Repository:
The abstract and bibliographic details of thesis, dissertation, minor ormajor research projects completed by our teachers are compiled in the form ofdatabase.
Research Reference Library:
The Library and Information Centre invites teachers pursuing doctoraldegrees to access our library with no fees. The membership is given to morethan 20 selected colleges of Mumbai and Thane District which have not aresourceful library in their college. The membership is valid for six months.
Inter library Borrowing Facility:
The library allows the teachers and the students of other colleges forreference only. They can refer our library by submitting a written request fromthe Principal or Librarian of their college. There are many colleges who arereferring our library regularly. |
