Prof. (Dr.) Moushumi Datta is a distinguished academician, educationist, researcher, author, administrator, and mentor with an illustrious career in higher education. She is a Professor and Head of the Department of Geography and Head of Geoinformatics at Nagindas Khandwala College. She is also a recognized Ph.D. Guide of the University of Mumbai and has served as a Member of the Board of Studies in Geography, University of Mumbai. Through her academic leadership, institutional vision, and unwavering commitment to excellence, she has made significant contributions to higher education, research, quality assurance, institutional development, and student empowerment.

Academically accomplished, Prof. Datta holds a Master of Science (Geography), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Ph.D. in Geography, and Ph.D. in Management. Her interdisciplinary expertise spans Geography, Management, Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Educational Technology, Gender Studies, and Sustainable Development. She has presented research papers at prestigious national and international forums, including universities in the United Kingdom and the United States, and has consistently contributed to advancing knowledge through teaching, research, and academic leadership.

A prolific researcher and academic leader, Prof. Datta has undertaken numerous research and consultancy projects sponsored by agencies such as the UGC, University of Mumbai, ICSSR, ICSSR-IMPRESS, and the Maharashtra State Commission for Women. She has successfully organized several state-level, national-level, and international conferences, seminars, workshops, faculty development programmes, and academic initiatives. Her leadership has been instrumental in strengthening institutional quality initiatives through IQAC, NAAC, ISO, RUSA, mentoring programmes, and various academic innovations.

Prof. Datta has an extensive academic portfolio comprising over 100 research publications, including international journal publications, ISBN and ISSN publications, books, textbooks, and edited volumes. She has co-edited several books in Geography and authored reference and academic texts that have significantly enriched higher education and research. Her scholarly contributions have earned national and international recognition and continue to influence research, policy, and academic practice.

Her commitment to innovation is reflected in her intellectual property achievements, including patents granted by the Governments of India and Australia, patent filings in the field of Geoinformatics, and a copyright recognized by the Government of India.

Vice Principal & IQAC Co-ordinator

Prof. Dr. Mona Mehta is the Vice-Principal and IQAC Co-ordinator of Nagindas Khandwala College. She has completed her PhD in Management. Her areas of interest are Marketing, Retailing and Leadership. She is extremely passionate about her profession and aims to bring the best out of her students.

She has undertaken four Minor Research Projects under UGC, University of Mumbai and Nagindas Khandwala College. She received a travel grant from 'Sir Ratan Tata Trust' for a conference held at the University of Delaware, USA. She has various national and international publications to her credit.

She is an ambitious, hardworking, creative person wanting to reach the pinnacle of success in whatever she undertakes. She has actively contributed to co-curricular activities, worked for NAAC and ISO, initiated International Collaborations, and organized various seminars and inter-collegiate festivals for the College.

Dr. Preeti Tripathi

Vice Principal

Dr. Preeti Tripathi is Associate Professor, Department of Commerce and Vice Principal, Nagindas Khandwala College – Empowered Autonomous. With an outstanding teaching career spanning 32 years, she has demonstrated unwavering dedication, perseverance, and a strong commitment to academic excellence in educating undergraduate learners.

Her passion for teaching and continuous hard work have earned her recognition as a Postgraduate teacher in Commerce at the University of Mumbai. She has authored 20 research articles published in national and international indexed, peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the field of Commerce.

As an academic leader, she demonstrates a clear vision for institutional growth, unwavering integrity, and a collaborative approach to achieving academic excellence. Her sustained efforts toward institution building have strengthened the academic environment by fostering a culture of learning, research, and continuous professional development.

She has guided numerous PG students in their research projects and internship reports as an internal and external guide. She has authored text books on International Marketing and Export Marketing, and has convened and organized many national and international conferences, seminars and workshops. She has completed two Minor Research Projects (MRP).
