Equivalence Committee
Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Equivalence Committee is responsible for managing student mobility under the Multiple Entry and Multiple Exit (ME-ME) system.
Guided by the National Credit Framework (NCrF) and the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), the Committee enables seamless student mobility by mapping learning outcomes and validating diverse forms of learning.
Responsibilities of the Committee
- Multiple Entry and Exit Pathways: Evaluating previously earned credits when a student re-enters a degree programme after an exit.
- Credit Transfer Mapping: Reviewing and matching credits earned through the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and the National Credit Framework (NCrF), including credits obtained through SWAYAM, other universities and specialised vocational pathways.
- Lateral Entry Evaluations: Designing bridge courses or assigning necessary prerequisites for students seeking lateral entry from another discipline or institution with minor credit variations.
