MKES Centre for Skill Development

The MKES Centre for Skill Development is dedicated to bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. Through specialised training programmes, the Centre seeks to develop the learners’ essential professional, technical, and interpersonal skills, thereby enhancing their career readiness, entrepreneurial capabilities, and lifelong learning potential. The Centre’s has been established to enable learners to meet the evolving demands of the contemporary workplace with confidence and competence.

As part of its initiatives, the Centre conducts Short-Term Certificate Courses designed to provide practical, industry-oriented learning opportunities.

Completed Certificate Courses

Two certificate courses have already been completed successfully under the Centre, in collaboration with the MKES College of Law and the Department of Accountancy, Nagindas Khandwala College.

  1. Media and Entertainment Law:
    The course aimed to acquaint the learners with the legal framework of the media and entertainment industry, including intellectual property, contracts, licensing, privacy, defamation and censorship, while promoting legal awareness, ethical practices and compliance.
  2. Intelligent Investing: A Beginner’s Guide to Wealth Creation:
    The Department of Accountancy, in collaboration with the MKES Centre for Skill Development, conducted a 10-hour online certificate course on “Intelligent Investing: A Beginner’s Guide to Wealth Creation.” Spread across 10 sessions, the course saw participation from 219 learners across Commerce, Arts, IT & Computer Science, Psychology, and other streams. The sessions covered the fundamentals of investing, money management, wealth creation, and financial decision-making, helping learners develop practical financial awareness and informed money habits.

MKES Centre for Foreign Languages

The newly established MKES Centre for Foreign Languages has been created to equip students and professionals with multilingual communication skills that are increasingly valued in a globalized world. By fostering proficiency in foreign languages, the Centre aims to prepare learners for higher education, international collaborations, global careers, and cross-cultural engagement.

The newly-established MKES Centre for Foreign Languages has successfully launched and completed its inaugural batches of the Certificate Course in German and Certificate Course in French.
