Green Club – Nurturing a Sustainable Future
“Inspiring young minds to protect, preserve, and power a greener tomorrow.”
At Nagindas Khandwala College, sustainability has always been more than just a concept—it is a commitment. The institution has consistently championed the vision of a Green Campus, fostering environmental awareness and responsible practices among students and staff.
In the Academic Year 2023–24, the college took a significant step forward by renaming its Environment Cell as the Green Club. This initiative aligns with the vision of the Directorate of Higher Education and UNICEF, aiming to strengthen youth participation in environmental conservation and sustainable development.
Our Vision
The Green Club is dedicated to cultivating the values of environmental stewardship among young individuals. By empowering students with knowledge, responsibility, and action-oriented opportunities, the club strives to nurture environmentally conscious citizens who actively contribute to a sustainable future.
Our Focus Areas
The club engages students in meaningful initiatives and projects across key environmental domains:
• Water Conservation – Promoting responsible water use and spreading awareness about water sustainability.
• Waste Management – Encouraging waste reduction, recycling, and eco-friendly practices on campus and beyond.
• Energy Conservation – Advocating efficient energy use and exploring renewable energy practices.
• Biodiversity Conservation – Protecting and celebrating the rich diversity of plants, animals, and ecosystems.
Our Activities
Through workshops, awareness campaigns, plantation drives, clean-up initiatives, competitions, and community outreach programs, the Green Club actively works to create a culture of sustainability within the campus and in the surrounding community.
By engaging students in hands-on environmental initiatives, Nagindas Khandwala College continues to shape responsible leaders who understand that protecting the planet is a shared responsibility.
